Recently, Motif №39 finished a renovation project in Trélex, Switzerland. Redesigning the central core of a 3 story villa originally built in 1820, and turned it into a separate residential unit spanning 3 floors. The concept was originally made by Architect Florian Alberti, but Motif №39 was responsible for the Interior Design and 3D visualization. One of the major challenges was the fact that the project had very few windows_ and no possibility to make new openings due to sensitive Historical-Classification of the villa_, so a decision was made to maximize the existing openings (mostly exterior doors), use transparent indoor-partitions and increase the usage of mirrors where it was effective.
